Our first guest at TKVR! at the Philharmonie Hall in Essen was Max Mutzke, Germany’s voice of soul. He was the perfect prelude to our inaugural concert. We were rather nervous at the start since we were not sure how this new style of music-fusion would be received, but the thunderous applause after the first song quickly put our minds at ease. Our spontaneous dialogue onstage has become a precedent with the all the guests for the Takeover! concerts.
